About Kathleen Schuller

Kathleen Schuller, M.A.,  is a lover of good books and holds a master’s degree in English literature.  She is a wife, mother and grandmother who works as an office manager and spends her free time reading, writing, sewing, baking, and enjoying nature as an armchair gardener.   She is a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America and loves all things Austen.

How To Be A Heroine—For Girls:  Inspiration from Classic Heroines is her first book.

One of eleven siblings, Kathleen grew up spending much of her time in a tree with a favorite book.  Needless to say, Jo March was one of her favorites as a child.  She named her second daughter after Sara Crewe, another personal favorite.  Although she did not discover Austen until much later, the young Kathleen unwittingly named a doll Elizabeth, which makes her very happy.
