Welcome

How To Be A Hero---For Boys: Inspiration from Classic Heroes was born out of a passion for classic literature. After reading and rereading beloved classics since childhood, the author now wishes to share ideas with a new generation of young readers who may not have encountered some of these wonderful books yet.

In How To Be a Hero, favorite books such as Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain, Little Men by Louisa May Alcott, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen are reviewed. A quote which illustrates each hero’s problem or plight is presented to the reader. Useful suggestions and ideas are offered to help boys on their own journey of becoming a better person and, ultimately, a hero. Read more
